Danny D. Martinez
CEO & Master Connector of People, Information & SystemsDanny D. Martinez is a highly dedicated and driven professional with a passion for small business development. With over 25 years of experience in the field, Danny has become an expert in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities. His ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members has been a key factor in his success. He takes pride in his ability to lead, motivate, and inspire those around him.
In 2017, Danny turned his passion into Apex Business Consulting, a certified DBE, MBE, SBE consulting firm focused on developing a variety of strategies to help businesses grow and thrive. Apex serves as a business partner providing business development services to its clients to reach their Apex. In addition, Danny’s expertise includes developing high-performing supplier diversity programs to increase small, women and minority-owned business participation. Apex specializes in program management services to government entities that focus on serving and elevating the business community.
Currently, Danny serves as the contract administrator for the CLIMBER Loan Fund (Colorado Loans to Increase Main Street Business Economic Resiliency) created by HB 24-1453 for the State of Colorado. This $250M loan program helps small businesses recover from the pandemic by offering access to capital. In 2023, Apex served as the fiscal contract administrator of a $200,000 grant program on behalf of the Minority Business Office for the State of Colorado to help aspiring entrepreneurs jump-start their businesses.
Danny is a natural born connector and convener of people, information, and systems. His energetic approach and big picture thinking drive his passion for helping businesses excel. Throughout Danny’s career, he has successfully cultivated a network of business professionals that span across the US and abroad. He is well-traveled and continues to build upon this network to stay at the forefront of technology and innovation.
As a proud native of Colorado, Danny received his Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. He also completed a dual M.B.A in Business Administration International and Operations Management from Regis University. Danny is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Colorado Leadership program and is a graduate of the Downtown Denver Partnership Leadership program. He is one of the founding fathers of Latinos Impacting our Future Together (L.I.F.T.), a philanthropic giving circle, and is an active community and business member supporting a variety of causes annually.

She has successfully led internal and external teams to create integrated efforts for awareness campaigns to maximize brand exposure and influence public perception among a variety of target audiences.
She is a strategic thinker and problem—solver with excellent project management, organizational, and partnership-building skills.

Carolyn Terrell

A recognized expert in government contracting, she has guided countless small businesses in navigating the complexities of government procurement. Ms. Terrell's deep understanding of the field is further evidenced by her prior role as Supervisory Business Development Specialist for the SBA's 8(a) Business Development Program.

Marlene DeLaRosa
Community ConnectorMarlene worked for over three decades at the Department of Justice US Immigration Court, retiring as a Legal Court Specialist. From her youth, Marlene has exhibited an unwavering commitment to equity in education. Her involvement began during her teen years at the Chicano Education Project.
Marlene serves as a Mayoral appointee to both the Denver Parks and Recreation advisory board and the Denver Latino Commission. Additionally, she presides as the Chair of the LatinasGive! Giving Circle.
